Patty has supported Healthy Start Manatee for the past 14 years. Every Christmas she delivers baby items on behalf of the Democratic Women’s Club. She has also conducted consumer surveys at local provider offices for Healthy Start’s service delivery planning process. Patty is a retired educator and very involved in the community with a number of organizations including the Manatee chapter of the American Association of University Women.
Christine is a registered nurse and a long-time resident of Manatee County with great knowledge of the community. She has been a pediatric nurse for 20 years, and has a keen interest in children’s health.
Carla is the President of Healthy Science Communications and serves as president of the Healthy Start Board. She was instrumental in the development of the Coalition’s 2005 and 2010 service delivery plan updates and in shaping the direction of our innovative programs. She is an officer of her college alumni association and is committed to the wellbeing of children and families.
Tiara is a Senior Sourcing Specialist for the Mosaic Company and a graduate of the University of Florida and the University of South Florida. Tiara is also a graduate of Leadership Manatee and serves on the Junior Leadership Manatee Board of Directors and is an active member of the Manatee Young Professionals.
Tracy is an attorney licensed in Florida and Louisiana. She has worked in the non-profit and public interest sector for 15 years, primarily in the area of criminal justice reform. Tracy is the Co-Director of the Sarasota Cooperative Learning Project and is also a Board Member for the Justice and Accountability Center.
Dr. Ashley Masuga is a board certified optometric physician specializing in the treatment of eye disease and pediatric eye care. Dr. Masuga is actively involved in the Manatee County community. She is a member of the Manatee Chamber of Commerce and the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance. In 2008, Dr. Masuga joined the Manatee Young Professionals, and continues to serve on both their Leadership Committee and Community Service Subcommittee. She is a graduate of Leadership Manatee class of 2014.
Beth has been involved with Healthy Start for several years and is serving her second term on the Board. Beth has contributed to Healthy Start Manatee’s Health Problem Analysis and Action Plan Update projects over the years. She has great knowledge of our community and is involved with several local organizations, including a graduate of Leadership Manatee.
