Healthy Start Manatee Update Regarding COVID-19
Effective March 2020, following recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and both state and federal governments, Healthy Start Manatee has taken necessary steps to close our offices to the public and transition our staff and providers to working remotely from home. Intake Coordinators and Care Coordinators continue to follow-up on screens and referrals and work with clients via text, telephone and video conferencing. In certain circumstances, home visits are permitted.
Healthy Start Manatee continues to monitor the situation closely, and is working to transition community outreach activities and meetings to virtual platforms.
If there is an immediate need, please contact Fred Leonard, Executive Director at fleonard@hsmanatee.com or 941-304-3551 or feel free to reach out to your typical Healthy Start Manatee contact person.
We will continue to provide updates and helpful tips via Facebook and www.hsmanatee.com as they become available. For more information regarding COVID-19 and Pregnant Women, visit the CDC’s website: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prepare/pregnancy-breastfeeding.html?CDC_AA_refVal=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cdc.gov%2Fcoronavirus%2F2019-ncov%2Fspecific-groups%2Fpregnancy-faq.html
We hope you and your family stay safe through this time of uncertainty.
Sincerely,
The Healthy Start Manatee Team
