Project Moses

An integral part of Healthy Start’s Infant Safe Sleep Campaign is Project Moses, which supports our efforts to assist families who need a safe place to put their baby to sleep. Healthy Start is fortunate to have myriad volunteer organizations and individuals who have partnered with us to secure the materials needed and hand assemble baby bassinets, including custom sewn mattresses and liners to fit the baskets, as well as other handmade essential baby items, such as baby hats, booties, blankets and quilts, which families use for the babies’ tummy time.

In addition, Healthy Start’s Intake Coordinators and Care Coordinators provide parents and families with critical safe sleep education, follow up, and support to help them keep their babies as safe as possible and avoid preventable sleep-related accidents.
